2017-18 - Improve Challenge

Members of both Lakeshore Players Dorval and the Hudson Players Club were invited for an evening of improv. All levels of experience were welcome. The hosts for the evening were Mary Vuorela and John Sheridan. Mary is coaching and playing with Hudson and John with Lakeshore. Both Mary and John have many years of experience teaching and performing improv. There will be more improv workshops to follow! We are gearing up for an Improv Challenge with Hudson Players Club at the end of November.

2015 QDF Softball Tournament

This summer our courageous Lakeshore Players members participated in the Annual QDF Softball Tournament. Nourished by energy-providing hot dogs, beers and baby carrots, this disjointed band miraculously remained undefeated through the round-robin games and survived a very close semi-final game, including being on the wrong side of a triple play! They gelled together in the finals however, sun-stroked and slightly inebriated, and came out on top.

The QDF Togneri Trophy will be proudly displayed at our shows for the coming year!

Many thanks to the Quebec Drama Federation for organizing this fun event; to all the dedicated volunteers for their hard work before, during and after; to our friends and LP members who came out to support us; and of course to our fellow competitors (The Segal Centre for Performing Arts, Wista, MainLine Theatre, Scapegoat Carnivale Theatre, The Becket Players, Théâtre Sainte-Catherine and The Freestanding Room) for the camaraderie and friendly competition. It really was a well-organised, fun event!

We are already looking forward to next year!
